Welcome to Plix.Tools ("we", "our", "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have in relation to it when you visit https://plix.tools (the "Site").
All image conversion, PDF, calculation, generation and developer tools on Plix.Tools operate entirely within your web browser. Your files, images, documents and any data you enter into our tools are never transmitted to or stored on our servers. We have zero access to any content you process using our tools.
This is technically enforced by design - our servers serve only static HTML, CSS and JavaScript files. There is no server-side processing infrastructure for user data.
We use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymised information about how visitors use the Site. This includes: pages visited, time spent on pages, browser type and version, operating system, approximate geographic region (country/city level), referring website, and device type. Google Analytics does not collect personally identifiable information such as your name or email address. Data is processed in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
If you submit the contact form, we collect your name, email address and message. This information is used solely to respond to your enquiry and is not shared with third parties or used for marketing.
Some tools store small amounts of data in your browser's localStorage to improve your experience. Specifically:

Plix.Tools is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it promptly.
Plix.Tools includes a dark mode feature. Your colour scheme preference (dark or light) is stored locally in your browser under the key plix_theme. Similarly, your recently visited tools are stored under plix_recent_v1. These preferences are held entirely on your device — they are never sent to our servers or any third party. You can reset them at any time by clearing your browser’s localStorage for this site.
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Our Site does not currently respond to DNT signals as there is no industry standard for how to respond. We encourage you to use browser privacy settings and extensions to manage your tracking preferences.
Since we do not collect or store your files or tool inputs, the primary privacy risk - data breach of user content - does not apply to Plix.Tools. For the limited data we do hold (analytics, contact form submissions), we implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect it.
Contact form messages are retained for as long as necessary to respond to your enquiry, after which they are deleted. Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months by default. Browser localStorage data remains on your device until you clear it - we have no access to or control over it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
